America in the 1950's

America In The 1950s - Lessons - Blendspace

America in the 1950s had intact families, close communities, disciplined people, penitent churchgoers, innocent children, respect for our elders, and a cohesive national fabric stitched tightly together with hard work, dignity, and pride. That America no longer exists. The past is a foreign nation.

And even in a segregated society in the 1950's, The blessings of Almighty God flowed to the oppressed peoples. After a bloody "uncivil war", America repented of her sin of slavery. But as time passed, America forgot where her blessings were coming from and began to make a series of very bad choices.

How did America lose her way?

America Forgot Her God

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:~Deuteronomy 28

Read the whole chapter, it lays it out plain as day. Can America ever be restored? Yes, Nationally and Individually, if we do exactly as instructed in 2 Chronicles 7:14

We The People

The following has been attributed to Lewis Napper, a Jackson, Mississippi computer programmer. He didn't expect his essay -- a tart 10-point list of "rights" Americans don't have -- to become an Internet legend.

'We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to  help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of  Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights.'

ARTICLE I:
You do not  have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth.. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing  anything.

ARTICLE II:
You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not  just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of dummies, and probably always will  be.

ARTICLE III:
You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect  the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE  IV:
You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who  achieve nothing more than the creation of another  generation of professional couch potatoes.

ARTICLE V:
You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE  VI:
You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you get the blue juice.

ARTICLE  VII:
You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure..

ARTICLE VIII:
You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.  And then respect that job, and the owner who gave it to you and keep your hands off their stuff.

ARTICLE IX:
You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are  unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws  created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X:
This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you came from, English is our language. Learn it!

Lastly

ARTICLE  XI:
You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, sorry if you are uncomfortable with it.

If you agree, share this with a friend. No, you don't have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don't. I  just think it's about time common sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States must  speak out because if you do not, who will?

In one sentence, the bad news is that the American Republic has fallen so far from its original intent that the enemies of the Republic have not only been at the gate, but for many decades have been swarming into America to destroy it from within, all done with the help of powerful people who want to bring down the USA to merge us into a global government where all nations are equal at a third world level.

The good news is that more and more citizens are awakening to these facts, and we are influencing our fellow citizens to make our voices heard.

“If we must die, we die defending our rights.”

Final Inspection

Geronimo USMC 🇺🇸 on Twitter: "@NBCNews God Bless my Fellow Marine, next duty guarding the Gates of Heaven… "

THE FINAL INSPECTION

The Marine stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
'Step forward now, Marine,
How shall I deal with you?

Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?'
The Marine squared his shoulders and said,
'no, Lord, I guess I ain't.

Because those of us who carry weapons,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sabbath Days,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,

I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears
If you have a place for me here, Lord,

It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod
As the Marine waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

'Step forward now, you Marine,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.'

Eye Witness Account

FREEDOM QUOTES image quotes at relatably.com | Freedom quotes, Inspirational quotes, Meaningful quotes

This story is an incredibly good read. It describes the reality that most people are unthinking lemmings, ignorant of history, and how eagerly and blindly they listen to and follow the Sirens' Song of politicians who promise them everything at no cost.

Expecting something for nothing is the most popular form of hope.

The reality is – When you get something for nothing, you just haven't been billed for it yet. The reason this country continues its drift toward socialism and big nanny government is because too many people vote in the expectation of getting something for nothing, not because they have a concern for what is good for the country. Too many politicians will promise whatever they think will get them the greatest number of votes -- and that is to promise the American Sheeple "something for nothing".

Story by Kitty Werthmann
I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. If you remember the plot of the Sound of Music, the Von Trapp family escaped over the Alps rather than submit to the Nazis. Kitty wasn’t so lucky. Her family chose to stay in her native Austria. She was 10 years old, but bright and aware. And she was watching.

We elected Hitler by a landslide – 98 percent of the vote,” she recalls. She wasn’t old enough to vote in 1938 – approaching her 11th birthday. But she remembers. Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.

Not so. Hitler is welcomed to Austria

In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25 percent inflation and 25 percent bank loan interest rates. Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs.

My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.

We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany, where Hitler had been in power since 1933.” she recalls. “We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living.

Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group – Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone in Germany was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria. We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back.

Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler. We were overjoyed, remembers Kitty, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.

After the election, German officials were appointed, and, like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.

Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.

Then we lost religious education for kids
Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang "Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles," and had physical education.

Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail.

And then things got worse.
The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free.

We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had. My mother was very unhappy, remembers Kitty. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn’t do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political indoctrination.

I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time, unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler.

It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn’t exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.

In 1939, the war started, and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn’t work, you didn’t get a ration card, and, if you didn’t have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn’t have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.

Soon after this, the draft was implemented.
It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps, remembers Kitty. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines.

When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service. When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers.

You could take your children ages four weeks old to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, seven days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.

Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna. After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.

As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80 percent of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing. We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables.

Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn’t meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.

We had consumer protection, too. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the livestock, and then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.

In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps. The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van.

I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months.

They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness. As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.

Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law-abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long afterwards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.

No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.

Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria. Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little, eroded our freedom.

This is my eyewitness account.
It’s true. Those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity. America truly is (or used to be) the greatest country in the world. Don’t let freedom slip away. After America, there is no place to go.

WOKENESS

Home | Woke Kindergarten

WOKE (/ˈwoʊk/ WOHK) is a term that refers to awareness of issues that concern social justice and racial justice. It is sometimes used in the African-American Vernacular English expression stay woke.

“People today who identify as WOKE see themselves as having been awakened to a new set of ideas, value systems, and knowledge.”  (and they demand that everyone else accept their ideas)

One of the tenets of wokeness is your feelings matter more than truth or reality. Wokeness is only achieved by those dumb enough to find injustice in everything except their own behavior. Wokeness, and her twin sister DEI, are creatures of radical thinkers. Radical thinkers are people who babble on about things that any rational person knows are not true. Radical thinkers do not care for logic, reason, or anything else except their ideology. Radicalism means that even if somebody gets hurt in the process it is fine as long as they can prove a point.

To the radical thinkers the old set of ideas, value systems, and knowledge must be eradicated. The "identity" fad is a perfect example.

The hidden, or unspoken, meaning behind WOKE is that all the troubles of the world are caused by white people and the white man's religion, aka Christianity. Ask any liberal, progressive, socialist, or Marxist and they will confirm that as fact. And because they believe it, that makes it true. Wokeness has even invaded many churches that claim to be "christian."

What started in the Black community as an awareness of unequal treatment against "people of color" has been hijacked by political parties and corporations pretending to care. It's a good idea to stay WOKE by ALL Americans, but not to pit one American against the other. Or, to ignore the sacrifices and progress of the past.

Americans fought an "un-civil" war that resulted in partial freedom until the Civil Rights Acts was passed in 1964. Yes, equality was a long time in coming. But it's here and it's here to stay if We The People don't allow political correctness, suspicion, and hatred to divide us.

All these silly notions about removing logos from products or tearing down historical monuments, or men can get pregnant have nothing to do with equality.

"Wokeness" is a strategy devised by the ultra liberals to make America godless, sexless, genderless, childless, depressed, anxious, afraid, fat, drug addicted, lonely, physically weak, mentally ill, in debt, isolated, living in a green energy pod, eating bugs, and dependent on "experts" to tell us what to think about EVERYTHING. The ultimate insult to God is to declare that He made a mistake in your gender or skin color.

The correct definition of DEI: Delusional  Egocentric  Idiots. DEI Logic: A young black woman graduates high school at age 16, graduates college at 19, becomes an MD at age 25, then says. "I could have done more if it was not for discrimination."

With the aid of a government run "education system" and fake media, the woke – and green – axe has been ground and ground to the point that school children have been turned from happy, care-free kids into terrified basket cases – over-sensitive, morally judgmental, and carrying round a latent sense of injury. Teaching them that climate change is ending the world, that their elders are squeezing the life out of it, and that everything they thought they knew about gender and race is a big transphobic, racist lie. The woke and green agenda is immoral because it is untrue.

Because they did not receive the love of the truth, And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. ~ 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11  Unrighteousness is defined as sin, wrongdoing, or evil behavior that goes against God's law. It also refers to injustice, idolatry, and moral corruption.

Note: Why are more and more companies and Churches going "woke"? I think it's because Satan knows his time is short and he is doubling down on creating as much evil as possible. And why is God giving Satan free reign? Because His people have turned to Churchianity rather than Christianity. As it it written: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children." ~Hosea 4:6

CRT

Two Views: Critical race theory threatens what King achieved

Critical Race Theory -- What is it? Who's behind it? And how do we fight it?

Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a movement with the radical Left at the helm that is taking over society and invading our children's schools. Rooted in Marxist ideology, CRT seeks to con Americans into thinking our history was, and remains, foundationally racist. CRT demands that we despise and oppose the traditional values upon which America was built.

How should we respond? This is the test of Faith

Love Your Enemies

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.  ~Matthew 5:43-45

The Remedy

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. ~Revelation 18:4

If Christians would obey their Heavenly Father, He would hear from heaven and heal our land.

By What Authority Does the Enemy Do These Things?

"... none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand" ~Daniel 12:10
