The Tribes of Israel

Jacob's twelve sons (in order of birth), Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin, become the ancestors of twelve tribes, with the exception of Joseph whose two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim, were adopted by Jacob, and become tribal eponymous. (a person after whom a discovery, invention, place, etc., is named or thought to be named) ~Genesis 48

God chose the nation (a nation is a family grown large) of Israel to be an example to all the other families of the earth. Christian Israel has not always been a good example, but they have printed the Bible and taken it to the entire world.

Note: Israel and Jew are not the same people. All of the Tribe of Judah are Israelites, but not Israelites are Jews. You must correctly identify all of the descendants of Jacob/Israel to understand why the nations are so different.

And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name.” So He called his name Israel. Also God said to him: “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall proceed from you, and kings shall come from your body. The land which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants after you I give this land.” ~Genesis 35:10-12

Only America and the Commonwealth Nations of Europe exactly fulfill the promise to Jacob/Israel. The tiny country of Israel, established in 1948, has absolutely none of the earmarks of any of the tribes of Israel. Most of the present day Jews are not even from the tribe of Judah. The Jews did not receive Jesus when He came to them in the flesh. They hated him then and they hate now. On the day Jesus was crucified, the Jews pronounced a curse upon themselves.

^"When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it.” And all the people answered and said, “His blood be on us and on our children.” ~Matthew 27:24-25 

Jesus correctly identifies the father of the Jews... they are not Abraham's children.

"They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. ~ John 8:39

"Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." ~ John 8:43-44

The above Scripture is NOT a license to hate Jews. Jesus spoke those words in love. Often the truth hurts, that's why people don't like to hear it. But speaking the truth gives people the opportunity to repent and go in the right direction. 

 

As Christians we need to be very careful how we think, talk, and act toward non-christians. We must keep in mind that flesh and blood is not the real enemy. ~ Ephesians 6:12

So who are these Jews who occupy the country called Israel? They are mostly the children of Esau, the son who sold his birthright and most of his descendants stayed with Judaism. The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmael who adopted Islam as their religion. The radicals among both of these groups of people hate Christianity... and each other. Read Zionism

God describes the character of Ishmael and Esau...  And the Angel of the Lord said to her: “Behold, you are with child, And you shall bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael, Because the Lord has heard your affliction. He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against every man, And every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” ~Genesis 16:11-12

These two families are joined by marriage...

So Esau went to Ishmael and took Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife in addition to the wives he had. ~Genesis 28:9

But Esau I have hated, And laid waste his mountains and his heritage For the jackals of the wilderness.” ~Malachi 1:3  As it is written, “Jacob (Israel) I have loved, but Esau I have hated.” ~Romans 9:13

At Jesus Christ's last supper, there were thirteen people around the table, counting Christ and the twelve apostles. Some believe this is unlucky because one of those thirteen was Judas Iscariot, the betrayer of Jesus Christ. Judas was the only Jewish disciple... all the others were from the tribe of Benjamin including Mathias who took Judas' place in the ministry, and later the apostle Paul who also was from the tribe of Benjamin.

"I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin." ~ Romans 11:1

The Bible was written to, for, and about the descendants of Adam, the son of God (Luke 3:38) who were known at various times as Hebrews, Israelites, and finally... Christians. God has never made a Covenant with any other people. As it is written: "Israel is My son (not a country, not Jews), My firstborn..." ~Exodus 4:22 and Jeremiah 31:9

Jesus himself stated emphatically that he came first to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Matthew 10:5-7 and Matthew 15:24

With the ratification of the Second Covenant by the sacrifice of Jesus the Christ, all who believe on the Father and the Son can be adopted into the Commonwealth of Israel.

^"Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands—  that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world." ~ Ephesians 2:11-12 

Satan counterfeits the genuine and substitutes a false "Israel". The preachers who claim the Jews are God's "chosen people" and the country of Israel fulfills Biblical prophesy need to have their spiritual eyes opened. 

Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities. Can two walk together, except they be agreed? ~Amos 3:1-3

If you believe that Adam and Eve were the parents of the whole human race, you need to re-read Genesis 1 and 2. There were other races (the Bible refers to race as "families") on the earth long before Adam arrived. We know that Cain took a wife from the land of Nod.  ~ Genesis 4:15-17

We also know that the phrase "kind after kind" appears more than 30 times in Scripture. Today, we know kind after kind means DNA. White people only produce white babies, black people have black babies, dogs have dogs, cats have cats, etc.

And if you believe the three sons of Noah re-populated the earth with all the different races, then "kind after kind" is meaningless. The truth is the flood of Noah only destroyed the wicked, not innocent people who were not in the transgression. And what was the transgression? Intermarriage. God forbids Israel to take "strange wives". ~ Ezra 10:10

The Old Covenant was made with physical Israel. The New Covenant is with spiritual Israel. "God is Spirit and the Father of spirits..." ~Isaiah45:23 (repeated in Romans 14:10-12); John 3:5; John 4:24; Hebrews 12:9, and Revelation 21

All of these Scriptures, and many more, speak to, for, and about Israel and the other peoples who come in contact with Israel, and can now be adopted into the family of God that they "might be partakers of the divine nature..."  ~2 Peter 1:4

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children". ~Hosea 4:6 

God caused Israel to be carried away from Jerusalem to strange lands to the North and West and the isles of the sea. Where are the descendants of the 12 Tribes of Israel living today? 

“Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, And declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, And keep him as a shepherd does his flock." ~ Jeremiah 31:10

In birth order, here are the lands given to each tribe as best as can be determined.

1. Reuben - France and Former French Colonies

 
Reuben you are my firstborn, my strength and my initial vigor, foremost in rank and foremost in power. Water like impetuosity -- you cannot be foremost, because you mounted your father's bed; then you desecrated Him Who ascended my couch. See Genesis 49:3-4 

Reuben was disinherited and replaced with the tribe of Joseph. ~1 Chronicles 5:1


 

 

2. Simeon - Enclaves in Judah

 
Simeon - Simeon and Levi are comrades, their weaponry is a stolen craft. Into their conspiracy, may my soul not enter! With their congregation, do not join, O my honor! For in their rage they murdered people and at their whim they hamstrung an ox. Accursed is their rage for it is intense, and their wrath for it is harsh; I will separate them within Jacob, and I will disperse them in Israel. See Genesis 49:5-6 
 
 

 

 

3. Levi - No inheritance, scattered among all nations

4. Judah - Germany, Austria, Eastern Europe, Greece, Turkey, The descendants of Esau (Jabob/Israel's twin brother) mostly settled in Russia



Judah you, your brothers shall acknowledge; your hand will be at your enemies' nape; your father's sons will prostrate themselves to you. A lion cub is Judah; from the prey, my son, you elevated yourself. He crouches, lies down like a lion, and like an awesome lion, who dares rouse him? The scepter shall not depart from Judah nor a scholar from among his descendants until Shiloh arrives and his will be an assemblage of nations. He will tie his donkey to the vine; to the vine branch his donkey's foal; he will launder his garments in wine and his robe in the blood of grapes. Red eyed from wine, and white toothed from milk. Judah's banner reflects the above verse spoken prophetically right before the death of his father Jacob. See Genesis 49:8-12.
 
5. Dan - The Netherlands (formerly Holland), Belgium, Denmark, and former Dutch colonies.

 
Dan will avenge his people, the tribes of Israel will be united as one. Dan will be a serpent on the highway, a viper by the path, that bites a horse's heels so its rider falls backward. For Your salvation do I long, O YAHWEH!

Dan means Judge. The World Court is located in The Hague. Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.

6. Naphtali -  Norway and Sweden

 
Naphtali is a hind let loose who delivers beautiful sayings.

7. Gad - Switzerland

 
Gad will recruit a regiment and it will retreat on its heel.

8. Asher - Italy and Scotland - about 1/3 stayed in Italy, mostly Sardinia and Northern Italy; the majority continued on to present day Scotland


 
Asher - his bread will have richness, and he will provide kingly delicacies. See Genesis 49:20













9. Issachar - Finland

 
Issachar is a strong-boned donkey; he rests between the boundaries. He saw tranquility that it was good, and the land that it was pleasant, yet he bent his shoulder to bear and he became an indentured laborer.

10. Zebulun - The Netherlands, a few in Spain, Portugal, and their Colonies.

 
Zebulun shall settle by seashores. He shall be at the ship's harbor, and his last border will reach Zidon.

11. Ephraim - The United States of America and the United Kingdom
 
Ephraim - But Israel extended his right hand and laid it on Ephraim's head though he was the younger and his left hand on Manasseh's head. He maneuvered his hands, for Manasseh was the firstborn. He blessed Joseph and he said, O God before Whom my forefathers Abraham and Isaac walked -- God Who shepherds me from my inception until this day: May the angel who redeems me from all evil bless the lads, and may my name be declared upon them, and the names of my forefathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they proliferate abundantly like fish within the land. So he blessed them that day, saying, "By you shall Israel bless saying, 'May God make you like Ephraim and like Manasseh'" -- and he put Ephraim before Manasseh. See Genesis 48:13-20, pay close attention to verse 19... Ephraim shall be greater than Manasseh.

12. Manasseh - North America, England, Wales, Ireland, Australia, Canada, and Israelites who dwell in former British colonies.


 
Manasseh - But Israel extended his right hand and laid it on Ephraim's head though he was the younger and his left hand on Manasseh's head. He maneuvered his hands, for Manasseh was the firstborn. Historical Note: Hibernia is the Classical Latin name for the island of Ireland. Hibernia means "Land of the Hebrews". The very word British means "Covenant Man".

 

The original settlers in America were from England until America won her independence and eventually became greater. A bull is the emblem of the tribe of Ephraim. It is no accident that John Bull is an imaginary figure who is a personification of England, similar to the American 'Uncle Sam'.  

 

The Union Jack, (union of Jacob) or Union Flag, is the national flag of the United Kingdom. The flag also has official status in Canada, by parliamentary resolution, where it is known as the Royal Union Flag. 

 
The name Manasseh means "Forgetful". If there was ever two nations that have forgotten and forsaken their God, it's America and Great Britain. Some people in those countries call the Bible "hate speech".


13. Benjamin - Norway and Iceland

 
Benjamin is a predatory wolf; in the morning he will devour prey and in the evening he will distribute spoils. See Genesis 49:27

Moses said this concerning Benjamin; "And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and YAHWEH shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders". ~ Deuteronomy 33:12

And there dwells little Iceland safely between the shoulders of North America and Great Britain. Benjamin is the smallest Tribe of Israel and it's only natural his inheritance is the smallest land area.

The sons of Joseph were blessed by their grandfather, Jacob, and given "first-born" status making a total of 13 tribes and inheriting the double portion of territory.

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to Jacob's blessing they also received the blessing of Joseph. See Genesis 48:21-22 and Genesis 49:22-26

 

Joseph's "coat of many colors" [Genesis 37:3] most likely was a royal tartan plaid tunic signifying Joseph's prophetic rise above his brothers. ~ Genesis 37:5-11

Many of Joseph's descendants migrated to Britain, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland where tartan plaid is most prevalent. And they play the bagpipes, called a dulcimer in the Bible.

 

 

North America was preserved as a pristine wilderness as the final earthly possession of all the 13 tribes of Israel. It is no accident that America had 13 Colonies, and Canada with 10 Provinces and 3 Territories fulfilled the promises God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And the double portion blessing of the firstborn.

Thus says the Lord: “Israel is My son, My firstborn. ~Exodus 4:22

Great Britain and America have always enjoyed the blessings of Almighty God with the highest standard of living and the latest technology above all other nations.

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. ~Genesis 12:2-4

These two verses show why immigrants for all nations want to live in a white Christian nation... especially America because that's where the blessing are.

These blessings were bestowed by God to enable Christian/Israel to take the Gospel of the Kingdom to world... a task that these two nations, along with the other Israel nations, have done enthusiastically... albeit with a lot of man-made doctrines along the way.

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  ~ 2 Timothy 2:15

A little personal history. My last name is Farris. My ancestry is Scot-Irish. In 1985 my aunt Katherine traced the Farris clan back to the 1200's. She discovered a Farris Family Crest with the Lion of Judah and the Olive Tree of Asher. The family motto on that crest: "I fear no foe. I force no friend."

With my study into the tribes of Israel, I found that Judah had twin sons. Pharez, pronounced Pharis, Farris or Ferris (the Golden Lion) and Zerah (the Red Lion). Twins still run in my branch of the Farris family today, the boy/girl type specifically. My aunt Katherine's bother and sister were twins and my niece, Julie, also has boy/girl twins. (DNA never changes).

From my studies, I knew part of Asher had settled in Sardinia, an Italian island off the west coast of Italy. They had brought olive tree seedlings with them from Judea and Galilee, and today Italy is famous for its olive oil.

I was surprised to learn that outside of Houston, Texas, Sardinia has the most people with the name Farris. But according to my family history, I was Scot-Irish, not Italian. 

With the Farris Family Crest showing the Lion of Judah and the Olive Tree of Asher, it only made sense that the male descendants of Pharez married Asher women who lived in present day Scotland. Judah is the largest tribe and traveled far and wide seeking wives and new territory.

So, the "The lost Tribes of Israel" have been hiding in plain sight all these centuries. As it is written: "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, But the honor of kings is to search out a matter." ~Proverbs 25:2

NOTE: To the readers who understand who the true descendants of Jacob-Israel really are, we have a special responsibility before our Creator God because of the covenants God made with our forefathers. ~Romans 9:4

To other readers who are not of Israelite ancestry, let me make this perfectly clear. No one's eternal salvation depends on physical linage. Galatians 3:26-29 clearly states, "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Without the promises God made to Jacob/Israel and his descendants, there would be no Christianity, and without Christianity there would be no Western Civilization.

Salvation is by Grace, not by Race. Non-Israelites  (often called "strangers" in the Bible) have always been permitted to "take hold" of God's covenant with Israel. ~Isaiah 56 

 

The purpose of this post is to get people to think about what they believe and why they believe it, not debate who's right or wrong. To learn the revealed truth of God we must know and understand the true meaning of the words God inspired to be written. Use Strong's Concordance to check the original word before it was translated. Do your own research, make up your own mind, rely on the Holy Spirit to guide you.
