I was brought up in a Christian denomination that claims to "speak where the Bible speaks". Not knowing any better, I fully trusted my parents, Sunday school teachers, and Pastors to rightly divide the Word of Truth.  ~ 2 Timothy 2:15

When I began to study for myself and rely on the Spirit of truth to lead me (John 16:13), I was shocked to learn that everything I had been taught was false, a half-truth, or simply the traditions of men. ~ Matthew 15:9 and Mark 7:7

 

In 2007 I stated Renew Your Strength Bible Lessons to share with others who may be questioning Churchianty's doctrines and practices. 

 

God said: "Don't eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil" [Genesis 2:17], and to this day millions of Christians are ignorant of the knowledge of the Kingdom of God and the evil of man made religions. Most Church goers have been taught that they are going to heaven when they die, that Easter is for Christians and Passover is for Jews, that the country called Israel is the fulfillment of the promises God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel, and many other false teachings of organized religion.

It will be a glorious day in the Kingdom of Heaven when all of God's children can fellowship together and not be concerned about what "church" they went to. People with a religious mindset repent of breaking God's rules. People who love God repent of breaking their Father's heart.

 

There are two types of Christians… overcomers and non-overcomers. ~ Revelation 21:7. Non-overcomers believe that the goal of salvation is to populate heaven with “saved sinners”. Overcomers know the real goal of salvation is to put on the mind of Christ. Do what He did… crucify the works of the flesh, and get what He got… a crown of Life. Read it for yourself in James 1:12 and Revelation 3:21

 

Believing in Jesus and not keeping His commandments is exactly what the demons do. Read Works or Obedience

Overcomers are professional assassins of their own carnality. An overcomer asks himself three questions every day.
1. Is what I am doing now building Christ-like character?
2. Is what I am doing now producing the fruit of the Spirit? ~ Galatians 5:22
3. Is what I am doing now helping me overcome the carnal mind?

 

Overcomers rely on the Holy Spirit to guide them into Truth. Overcomers do their own research and use Strong's Concordance to check the true meaning of the words God inspired to be written. 

 

True Christianity has been hijacked by organized religion, celebrity pastors, and get rich preachers. With so much false doctrine in the modern Church most Christians are a lost people - not their salvation, their direction. 

 

They don't know who they are, where they came from, or where they are going. Like the children of Israel after leaving Egypt, they wander aimlessly in the wilderness of Churchianity. 

 

Organized religion does not have a franchise on God or a monopoly on the truth. The Church that Jesus built is not an earthly organization, it's a Body of Believers who are seeking first the Kingdom of Heaven. True followers of Jesus Christ are not righteous (or saved) people telling other people they need to "get saved," rather they are one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.

We can choose to believe the Truth of the Bible, or we can choose the lies of the Adversary.

 

 

Churchianity is fragmented into thousands of denominations and cults. With all the conflicting religious doctrines and customs it is no wonder people are confused about who and what to believe. The Church Jesus built is not an earthly organization, it's a Body of Believers who seek first the Kingdom of God. Organized religion stopped seeking the Kingdom and only seeks members and money. Instead of the Church changing the world, the world changed the Church. One reason why people get confused about the Bible is because they follow their pastor instead of following Jesus. "Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” ~ Matthew 15:14

 

Jesus never promised His followers "a mansion in heaven," He promised a Kingdom on earth. One reason people have a hard time believing the Gospel (Good News) is because it seems too good to be true. A man named Jesus/Yahshua claims to be the Son of God, comes down from heaven and is birthed of a virgin, grows up like any other human, takes all the sins of the world on Himself, dies on a cross, rises from the grave, promises to resurrect all people from the dead, and offers them eternal life in the Kingdom of God!? Yeah, right... that's too good to be true.

So, organized religion created a "reasonable" Jesus. He loves you, but will send you to an ever-burning hell if you mess up. He will not resurrect you, He will "rapture" you. You must belong to the "right" church or you will burn in hell forever. You must go through certain rituals, wear your collar backwards, pray, light candles, give 10% of your income to a Church, celebrate His birthday, and hunt Easter eggs to honor Him. Now that makes sense to the carnal mind. We can handle that "truth." 

 

B.I.B.L.E. Best Instructions Before Leaving Earth

 

The Bible is the only reliable data we have about God. If you follow the traditions of organized religion you will end up confused, full of doubt, and lost.

 

As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. ~ Psalm 18:30 

 

The Bible reveals what was, what is, and what will come. If you have "eyes to see and ears to hear" it will remove the blindfold and ear plugs Churchianity has placed on you. Use Strong's Concordance to check the original word before it was translated. Do your own research, make up your own mind, rely on the Holy Spirit to guide you. Just because we believe something does not make it true. God looks on our heart, He knows when we are sincerely seeking the truth, or just going along with the crowd.

Renew Your Strength is not a "know-it-all" type ministry. We don't claim to be Bible scholars. No Church, or individual, has a franchise on God or a monopoly on the truth. We urge people to search the Scriptures to find the truth. Why pay a preacher to tell you what he believes the Bible says when you can read and study for free. ~ 2 Timothy 2:15

What Really Happened in the Garden of Eden?

 

God made humans all of one blood. There is only one race.. the human race, but where did all the different skin colors come from? 

Contrary to Churchanity doctrines, Adam and Eve are not the progenitors of the whole human race. Eve is the mother of all living Adamites. If you believe that Adam and Eve were the first humans, you need to re-read Genesis 1 and 2. There were other races (the Bible refers to race as "families of man") on the earth long before Adam arrived. 

 

The people in chapter one were created male and female and told to be fruitful and multiply. Genesis 1:28: And God blessed them (plural), and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and “replenish” the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth. In 1611 the word replenish meant to populate the earth. Adam was formed from the dust of the ground in Genesis chapter 2, and even then he had no wife to "populate" with until God gave Eve to him as a suitable mate. We know that Cain took a wife from the land of Nod. ~ Genesis 4:15-17

Adam was not just a man, he was The Man through whom Jesus Christ would come. God instructed Adam in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, astronomy, engineering, metallurgy, architecture, hygiene and sanitation, and all things necessary to create a civilization to fulfill God's purpose for all mankind. And Adam taught these skills to his sons. Cain taught the people of Nod what he had learned from Adam and built a city. ~ Genesis 4:17 

 

 

The serpent in the Garden of Eden is described as an herpetological apocryphal creature. Herpetological refers to the study of reptiles and amphibians which are animals known for "creeping" or "crawling." Apocryphal means doubtful authenticity, although widely circulated as being true highlights the existence of folklore, myths, and inaccurate accounts about a talking snake.   

There is more to the "snake in the grass" and his conversations with Eve... much more. This snake called Nachash shows up one day while Adam was tending the garden. He engages Eve in a conversation about what God had said concerning the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. 

 

Eve knew very well what God had said to Adam about that particular Tree. We know very well what God says... but like Eve we don't believe it because we have not experienced it. Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, "All true learning is experience. Everything else is just information."  

 

Satan, disguised as this crafty, subtle, bright, very intelligent man placed the thought in Eve's mind that she was missing out on something... that God was holding back vital information. 

 

 As a noun, nachash means serpent.

 As a verb, nachash means a diviner of secret knowledge.

 As an adjective, nachash means a shining man - not a talking snake. 

 

Shining man in the sense of a bright, highly intelligent being, and probably handsome. The Bible describes Nachash as more cunning that any other creature... making use of clever and indirect methods to achieve something.

 

The Bible does not state an exact number of days Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden. Most traditional views suggest it was a very brief time—ranging from a single day to a few weeks or years—while some extra-biblical texts like the Book of Jubilees estimate it was seven years. My guess would be three and half years because that was the length of Jesus's ministry on earth... and He is called the last Adam. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:45. From the book of Jasher it took Satan three years to convince Eve to disobey God. The Book of Jasher is mentioned twice in the Old Testament (in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18) so I think it is trustworthy. 

 

After Eve was deceived by Nachach she told her husband, "WOW! Adam, I learned something new today"... and their lives changed dramatically. Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. ~1 Timothy 2:14

 

Adam loved Eve so much he was not willing to abandon her and took her punishment on himself... similar to what Christ did for all mankind. However, Adam used a very poor choice of words when replying to God about the situation. ~ Genesis 3:12

 

Eve blamed the serpent and Adam blamed Eve, and in a sort of back handed way he blamed God for "The woman whom You gave to be with me." Mankind never likes to take responsibility for disobedience. It's easier to blame others and then complain about the mess they brought on themselves.

 

 

“And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.” ~ Genesis 3:7

If Eve sinned by simply eating an "apple", why were Adam and Eve ashamed to be naked and covered their private parts? Of course I can't prove this scenario from Scripture alone. I think God is too modest to speak bluntly about sex. He left it up to us to read between the lines and figure it out. God wants us to concentrate on the consequences of disobedience, not on the sin Eve committed.

 

Let's not be too hard on Eve, remember Satan was able to persuade a 3rd of the angels to rebel against God. Eve was introduced to evil by God's design and purpose. Adam and Eve only knew good, but evil gave them a choice. Otherwise, they would be human robots without the power of choice. God loves mankind so much that He trusts us to make right choices.

 

Genesis 3:16 is where God tells the woman (Eve) after the exile from the Garden of Eden that He will greatly increase her pain in childbirth.

Genesis 4:1: Eve believes the birth of Cain is from the LORD (Yahweh) and said, "I have gotten a man from the Lord." Upon giving birth to her first son, Cain, she expresses gratitude and belief that God fulfilled His promise of a descendant who would overcome evil, mistakenly thinking Cain was that promised "seed" or savior, with the name Cain itself meaning "acquired" or "gotten," signifying her hope in this new "man." It highlights the fact that humans often mistake the purposes of God. 

 

Who is Cain's biological father? Were Cain and Abel actually fraternal twins? Fraternal twins (also called dizygotic twins) result from the fertilization of two separate eggs with two different sperm during the same pregnancy. If Adam truly was the father of Cain, why is Cain's name missing from the genealogy of Adam? 1 Chronicles 1:1 and Luke 3:38

Does the seed of the "serpent" have living descendants on earth today? Why did Jesus call Judas a devil? ~ John 6:70-71. Was Jesus making reference to Cain in John 8:44? 

 

The serpent "seed" does not have to be the literal offspring of Nachach. The behavior of people who exhibit Satan-like beliefs and actions is our first clue. Satan's disguises and rhetoric are so convincing that the only way we can be sure is "by their fruits you will know them." ~ Matthew 7:20

The Christian Bible gives us a glimpse of the characteristics of "reptilian people" by their cold-blooded and manipulative behavior, and desire to control a global power structure whether religious or governmental. Satan is able to transform himself into an Angel of Light. ~2 Corinthians 11:14

 

In the first promise of the gospel in Genesis 3:15, God cryptically promised that the offspring of the woman would bruise/crush the head of the serpent. By contrast, the serpent's offspring would merely bruise/crush the heel of the woman's offspring. One would strike a mortal blow, while the other would merely wound. The offspring of the woman is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Although, the seed of the serpent was able to bruise/crucify Jesus, He rose from the grave on the third day to fulfill Scripture and ended Satan's power forever.

 

The Bible states in Ecclesiastes 1:9 that there is nothing new under the sun. One meaning of this phrase is that throughout human history people have lived and died. Satan tries to convince people life is meaningless... you live, you die, nothing to hope for. When Jesus came, He stomped the head of the serpent and broke the cycle of death.  

Ezekiel 28:18-19 describes how Satan's influence over man will cease to exist. Revelation 20:10 and Matthew 10:28 reveals how Satan will be tormented forever and ever. The Bible shows that Satan will not die, but rather that he will suffer torment. After Satan's deception following the 1,000 years, he will be “cast into the lake of fire and brimstone” where he “will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” 

 

In Matthew 3:7; 12:34; 23:33 and Luke 3:7, Jesus calls the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees "serpents and brood of vipers." Why would Jesus say this if it was not true? We can see why the high and mighty self righteous religious leaders hated Jesus. He did not show them proper respect. Jesus must be put to death for this grievous offense.

God did not punish Adam and Eve for the act of gaining knowledge itself, but rather for willful disobedience and the rebellion against His authority. When children disobey their parents, most parents punish them (correct them) for their own good. When Eve disobeyed by eating the "Forbidden Fruit," she broke covenant with God. Worse than that, in breaking the covenant with God, she formed a covenant with the serpent, i.e. Satan. She needed to be corrected for her own good. Because of Adam's love for Eve, he left the garden with her.

The covenant between Adam, Eve, and the serpent is not just Adam and Eve. All those who break covenant with God make a covenant with "the Adversary"... that serpent of old called the devil and Satan. ~ Revelation 20:1-3

Jesus never broke covenant with his Father, but when He took the sins of the whole world on Himself it was so horrible that He felt abandoned by His Father ~ Matthew 27:46

 

Be very careful what doctrines you ingest. There are serious consequences for eating poisoned fruit. Remember Snow White?

 

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  ~ 2 Timothy 2:15

Today In History

 

 

Doolittle Raiders, April 18, 1942. WW II

Sixteen planes and 80 airmen executed the Doolittle Raid, 18 April 1942. With one exception - the plane piloted by CAPT Edward J. York - none of the planes made a proper landing: all either were ditched, or crashed after their crews bailed out. Nonetheless, all but three men survived the flight.

The Doolittle Raid was a U.S. air raid during World War II that targeted major cities in Japan. It occurred on April 18, 1942. The attack aimed to lift Allied spirits and incite fear in the Japanese population in retribution for the recent Japanese attack on Pearl harbor in Hawaii.

The raid had an impact far greater than its small size might indicate. It had so incensed the Japanese military that Japan diverted resources to China to seek out the surviving raiders, and killed some 250,000 Chinese people in retaliation.

Of the 16 crews involved, 14 returned to the United States or reached the safety of American forces, though one man was killed while bailing out. Eight men were captured by Japanese forces in eastern China (the other two crew members having drowned in the sea), and three of these were later executed.

As did most of the other crewmen who participated in the one-way mission, Doolittle and his crew bailed out safely over China when their B-25 ran out of fuel.

The actions of these 80 volunteers, led by Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle, were instrumental in shifting momentum in the Pacific theater and setting the stage for victory at the Battle of Midway. These men, dubbed the Doolittle Raiders, launched 16 B-25s off the flight deck of the USS Hornet. A feat that had never been done before.

Without the raw courage of patriotic American men and women, and support of the people back home, half the world would be speaking German and the other half Japanese. The U.S. military was not prepared for war, let alone a war with two well prepared countries. Yet, America put over 16 million men and women into battle. 

 

My Dad and all three of his brothers served in the military during WWII. All survived, but with terrible memories of man's inhumanity to man.

There has been a lot of talk about a World War III. We may have to go through much heartache and devastation before we reach the "Promised Land."

But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. ~ Mark 13:7

Earth Ages

 

In the first chapter of the Bible, the book of beginnings, called Genesis, Yahweh God created the heavens, the earth, the solar system, plants, animals, and the first humans. In chapter two and beyond is the history of the family of Adam.

 

Yahweh God could have created the whole universe in five minutes or less, but He is a God of process. The sun wasn't created until the fourth day so 24 hour days did not exist. The first, second, and third "days" could have been eons of time, the fourth, fifth, and sixth days were the only 24 hour days. God does everything slowly over long periods of time so we puny humans can try to understand. Are the other planets younger than earth? Very well could be, the Bible does not say.

 

In Hebrews 1:2, it is revealed that through Christ, God created “the worlds" (earth ages). From Strong's Concordance... the Greek word for "world"; aion ahee-ohn'; properly, an age; by extension, perpetuity (also past); by implication, the world. Jesus confirms earth ages in Matthew 28:20... "I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

 

Paul tells the Ephesian Church... "that in the ages to come He (God the Father) might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ~ Ephesians 2:7 

The sons of God appear to have existed before the Earth was created; in Job 38:7, God tells us that “the sons of God shouted for joy” at the creation of our world, the age of mankind.

 

Genesis 1 is the creation of male and female humans in the second earth age. They were told to be fruitful and multiply. They were given very little knowledge... it was learn as you go for them.

 

When God was creating the heavens and the earth His time was not man's time. If you can imagine colonizing Mars, here’s something to take into account: time moves differently there than on Earth. Einstein is proven correct: time is relative. This has an impact not only on our subjective experience of time, but also scientific calculations. This is just a reminder that our experience of reality here on Earth only exists here, and that there are many other realities in this universe. 

The first earth age is when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. There were no human beings alive at that time. Petroglyphs, carvings of dinosaur-like creatures does not prove that humans and dinosaurs lived on Earth at the same time. Archaeologists often make assumptions based on preceived ideas. The truth is we do not know what the carving mean, it may be just graffiti for all we know. This ancient form of rock art is found on every continent except Antarctica and serves as a vital record of prehistoric human thought and culture.   

 

In 2005 scientists isolated biomaterial from some dinosaur bones trying to proof that they were not millions of years old. However, iron from the dinosaur's own blood cells may act like a chemical preservative (similar to formaldehyde), cross-linking and stabilizing proteins against decay. Organized religion makes Christians who believe in a "young earth" look foolish. 

 

The word behemoth originates from the Hebrew Bible in the Book of Job, chapter 40, where it describes a mythical, primeval land-monster of gigantic strength and proportions. God used the word behemoth  metaphorically to show His great power, not to describe dinosaurs. Read the The Seven Primordial Epochs

 

Geology, archeology, carbon dating, and the correct understanding of the Bible reveals the truth. When the first earth age was destroyed, the earth was without form and void. The word "was" in Hebrew means had become without form and void. The earth was already here, but had become void like the planets in outer space due to a "war in heaven."

In Revelation 12:7-9, Jesus tells John about this war in heaven. This war caused the end of the first earth age. Moses may have known about this war, but God was not ready to reveal that knowledge to us in the book of Genesis. That's why it is absolutely necessary to rightly divide the word of truth to get an accurate picture of people and events recorded in the Bible.

Now we come to Genesis 2. This is the history of not just a man, but the man through whom God would send His only begotten Son to earth in human form.

There Was Not a Man to Till the Ground. ~ Genesis 2:5

The people in Genesis 1 were not farmers, they had no permanent place to live. They were hunter/gatherers living off the land as best they could to survive. These are the people that Cain joined after he was driven from the Garden of Eden. He married a woman in the land of Nod. (the word Nod means wanderer) ~ Genesis 4:15

Adam was given a beautiful garden for his home. Adam was warned about the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam had no wife to "be fruitful and multiply" until God provided Eve as a suitable mate for him. Adam warned Eve about the tree in the middle of the garden. Everything was going alone fine until one day a "snake" showed up. 

 

What else happened in the Garden of Eden?

God instructed Adam in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, astronomy, engineering, metallurgy, architecture, hygiene and sanitation, and all things necessary to create a civilization to fulfill God's purpose for all mankind. God allowed Adamite people to live for almost 1000 years so all this combined knowledge and experience could be passed down to future generations. By the seventh generation, Enoch (a descendant of Adam, not Cain) started a university and had a great library of books. This information is from the Book of Enoch, which New Testament writers were very familiar. Luke 3:37; Hebrews 11:5. A short section of 1 Enoch (1:9) is cited in the New Testament Epistle of Jude, Jude 1:14–15.

The third earth age is the Kingdom of God on earth.

 

And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth. ~ Revelation 5:10

Earth?! And we thought we were going to heaven, live in a mansion, walk on streets of gold, play harp music all day, and throw chicken bones at the Devil. Organized religion always gets it wrong. 

 

God's Great Plan Works For Everybody

Jonah came out of the great fish. Daniel came of the lion's den. The three Hebrew men came of the a fiery furnace. Lazarus was raised from the dead. Jesus came out of the tomb. You will come out of the grave. God loves you and there's not a darn thing you can do about it. The only thing you need to be concerned about... will you come out of the grave a profitable servant or an unprofitable servant?

Why Do The Nations Rage?

 

 

Psalm 2:1-12

Why do the nations rage, (cause a tumult, a state of fear and disorder) And the people plot a vain thing? (thinking God does not exist or His instructions do not apply to them)

The kings (government leaders) of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, (Christ) saying,  “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” (let us do whatever we want without any constraints. Let us make our own laws to legalize our wickedness)

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision (contempt). Then He shall speak to them in His anger, And distress them in His deep displeasure:  “Yet I have set (installed) My King On My holy hill of Zion.” (The capital city of the Kingdom of God)

 “I  (Christ speaking) will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; (break their wicked plans) You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ” (scatter like broken pottery)

Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling (with awe-inspired fear and submissive wonder). Kiss the Son, (embrace His instructions) lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little.

Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. (Jesus the Christ), not man's government.

Nationalities

 

There is only one "race"... the human race. The Bible refers to race as the families of man. There is no white, black, brown, red, yellow, Gentile or Jewish race. Racism was invented by agents of Satan to divide people. There are nationalities, meaning country of origin, not the color of your skin.

If people of all skin colors who claim to be Christians followed God's instructions there would be more love and less hate.

In America, every person is a colored, hyphenated American. I was born in Texas, that makes me a Texas-American. I was born to "white" parents so I am a white colored person. We don't get to choose our parents, we come into the world the color God made us. Some of my Christian brothers and sisters are black, brown, tan, and various other hues, but are one family.

Unless you hold dual citizenship, there is no such thing as African-American, Mexican-American, Asian-American, etc. Those are names Satan the Adversary has invented to try to divide Christians by their country of origin. 

If a person is born in a country other than America, say Mexico, and they come to America legally, they are a resident alien. When they become a naturalized United States citizen they earn the title of American. If they take their oath of citizenship in New York that makes them a New York-American. (they get to keep their skin color- lol)

America, and the Christian Community, has always welcomed immigrants who follow the Law of the Land and the Law of God. Illegal aliens are by definition criminals. Anyone who enters America without proper documentation (or bad intentions) has broken the Law.

Paul writes, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment” ~ Romans 13:1–2 

God's instructions regarding "race" relations 

What "Christians" did to Native Americans and African salves was a travesty. Then Christians missionaries had the nerve to say: "You need to be Christians - like us."

One law shall be for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you. ~ Exodus 12:49

You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. ~ Exodus 22:21

And He (Creator God) has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth. ~Acts 17:26

Christians are brothers and sisters in Christ. So who are the "strangers" that dwell among us? Non-Christians are strangers and we are not to mistreat them. There was a time when we had not accepted Christ as Lord and Savior... we were "strangers" to God.

At that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. ~ Ephesians 2:12

What does "commonwealth of Israel" mean? It means that God made a covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel to be their God and bless all nationalities who take hold of that covenant. As it is written: Remember His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel (the man, not a country called Israel) for an everlasting covenant. ~ 1 Chronicles 16:15-17 

Avoid Divisive Persons 

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine (of God) which you learned, and avoid them. ~ Romans 16:17 

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins. ~ 1 Peter 4:8

When I was a young child, 4,5,6 years old, our Sunday School class sang a song: Jesus Loves The Little Children of The World. Red and Yellow, Black and White, they are precious in His sight.

That same Jesus spoke these words to adults: “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." ~ Matthew 18:3

Bible Months vs Pagan Months

Exodus 12:2 says this is the beginning of months, but does not name the month. We learn from other scriptures that it is the month of Abib which is the first biblical month and begins with the vernal equinox.

God created the equinoxes and solstices to mark the four seasons of the year. Man-made calendars are totally in error. Organized religion has strayed so far from the Bible they don't even know how to make an accurate calendar.

 

When Did January 1 Become the First Day of the Year?

When Julius Caesar became dictator of Rome in 46 B.C., he sought advice from astronomers and mathematician Sosigenes to make up a new calendar based on the sun. By 45 B.C., the new Julian calendar was created, and the civil year in Rome officially changed from March 21 to January 1. The calendar, and the month of July, were both named after Julius Caesar.

The Gregorian calendar used in most parts of the world today went into effect in October 1582 following the papal bull Inter gravissimas issued by Pope Gregory XIII, which introduced it as a modification of, and replacement for, the Julian calendar.  The papal bull Inter gravissimas (“In the gravest concern”) was issued on February 24, 1582. First, in order to bring the vernal equinox back to March 21. Neither Julius Caesar's nor Pope Gregory's calendars are Bible based.

The Months God Gave Mankind. There is no Mention of a 13th Month or a "leap year."

First Month:  Abib/Aviv, also called Nisan in two scriptures... Nehemiah 2:1 & Esther 3:7  Corresponds to March (named after Mars, the Roman god of war)

Second Month: Ziv. referred to as Iyyar, but not mentioned in the Bible by that name. 1Kings 6:1  Corresponds to April  (Aprīlis, the Greek goddess of love and beauty)

Third Month: Sivan  Corresponds to May (named for the Greek goddess Maia)

Fourth Month: Tammuz  Corresponds to June  (comes from the the Latin Iunius, “of Juno (Iuno),” referring to the Roman goddess)

Fifth Month: Av  Corresponds to July (named after Julius Caesar)

Sixth Month: Elul  Corresponds to August  (In 8 B.C. the Roman Senate honored Augustus Caesar, the first Roman emperor, by changing the name of their month Sextilis to Augustus)

Seventh Month: Eitanim/Tishri  Corresponds to September (from the Latin September, meaning “seventh month.”)

Eight Month: Bul  Corresponds to October  (The "eighth" month in the old calendar)

Ninth Month: Kislev  Corresponds to November (November derives from the Latin root novem- meaning “nine,”)

Tenth Month: Tevet  Corresponds to December  (Old English December, from Latin, from decem "ten")

Eleventh Month: Shevat  Corresponds to January  (Named for the Roman god Janus)

Twelfth Month: Adar  Corresponds to February  (named after an ancient Roman festival of purification called Februa). The equinoxes are self- adjusting. February 29 every four years is a zero day because it is not formed by the 24 hour cycle, only fragments of time. That way the calendar always has 365 days in every year.

 

Let the Biblical calendar become more than just another calendar. Whether you’re reflecting on the Scriptures, strengthening your journal toward truth, or reaching out to someone in kindness, let the Biblical months be your starting point. Embrace the power of honest self-examination—and allow your next step, no matter how small, to move you forward with intention to the Kingdom of Heaven.
